Welcome to the Bexhill Sailing Club website
Bexhill is an RYA recognised training establishment and provides sailing and powerboat courses for both adults and cadets. We have 20 boats for training, including 6 Toppers, 6 Topazes, 6 Laser 2000’s, a RS Feva and a Dart 16. We are proud to be a Volvo Championship club, which was awarded in recognition of excellence in the provision of facilities and training for young people. If you are passing pop in for a tour of the club. How do we get more boats on the water?Ask yourself – why don’t more people sail? We all enjoy sailing in big fleets yet all too often just a few take to the water. We would really like to see people talking to each other this year to encourage more boats in getting out, if you need crew put your request up on the white board by the back door, if you want to crew also get your name down. Remember we were all new sailors once and find ourselves needing crew or a sail so please get the dialogue going and make sure we get as many boats out as possible. Friday Night - Free Sailing proved popular last year, and we hope to see even more of you taking advantage of the high tides and getting some more time on the water to hone your skills and generally having a bit of fun this year, we have now scheduled just a few Friday night races too. It only takes a few seconds and as a registered user you will have access to added features that will be added in the future. It will also enable the club to communicate with you more effectively. NOTE: Some email hosts such as hotmail will block the confirmation email - but you are still able to log in. You will be manually 'enabled' to avoid this issue. Last Updated (Monday, 19 April 2010 09:41) General Reminders.....................1) Please make sure the guests are signed in to the visitors book, and that they do not purchased drinks from the bar as it is a Private Members Club. 2) Any accident no matter how small should be entered into the Accident Book so that the executive can identify any trends and implement control measures and or changes to the way we do things to reduce the risk of it happening again. 3) Can everyone please consider how they can raise interest in joining the club, without increasing the membership we will have to cover costs in other ways, this means the risk of increased subscriptions so it is in everyones interest to promote the club, identify possible new members and make the ones we do have welcome and want to remain with us for many years to come. 4) When leaving ther club please look around you to see that all doors and windows are securerely locked, please check if there are few people left who has club keys and who will be locking up. Thanks.
Thank you - Kevin Watts (Mobile 07785 370 578) Last Updated (Tuesday, 10 August 2010 15:13) |

Bexhill Sailing Club has been established since 1947 but is very much a modern, inclusive and forward looking sailing club, located on the East Sussex Coast between Eastbourne and Hastings. A full programme of racing and other events begins in March and extends to November. There are races every weekend (Saturdays and Sundays) and also some Wednesday evenings, tide and light permitting. Class racing is provided for Laser 1’s and in addition there are fast handicap, slow handicap, catamaran handicap, and sailboards fleets.
